When Tomorrow Met Yesterday: Rediscovering the Values That Matter

Convent of Jesus and Mary School, Ambala Cantt. had the privilege of welcoming Provincial Superior Sister Antoinette, accompanied by Sister Josna, on 18 August 2026. The visit was marked by a thoughtful theatrical presentation titled “When Tomorrow Met Yesterday”, centred on the importance of preserving human values in an increasingly changing world. The play took the audience on a journey through a time machine, as children accidentally found themselves in the future. What they encountered was a world where values such as kindness, compassion and gratitude had gradually faded away. The experience made them realise that these qualities cannot be taken for granted. They must be consciously nurtured and carried forward in the present. Through an engaging blend of drama, imagination and reflection, the students presented a powerful message: while the future may bring technological progress, it is our human values that give meaning to life and relationships. Following the play, Sister Antoinette addressed the students and spoke about the importance of living with love and compassion. Her message encouraged everyone to love tenderly, walk humbly and act justly, reminding the students that true progress lies in becoming better human beings. The visit and the thought-provoking performance left the school community with a message to cherish, practise and pass on the values that make us truly human.
